Jeffrey Murphy, AIA
- JEFFREY MURPHY
has 25 years of experience in residential, commercial and institutional design. His particular interest in cultural institutions has led to some unusual and fascinating projects, many of which have been recognized for their design excellence. Jeffrey is a LEED accredited professional and believes sustainability is among the most important challenges of our generation.
- Prior to forming Murphy Burnham & Buttrick, Jeffrey ran his own architecture firm for seven years. He served as Secretary of the New York Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and as a board member of Community District 7 in Manhattan and is the founding Board Chairman of the East New York Preparatory Charter School.
- Jeffrey graduated from the University of Virginia School of Architecture and received his Master of Architecture degree from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. He received an Aga Khan Program for Islamic Architecture Research Fellowship and was a Wheelwright Fellow at Harvard University.
