Design for these two townhouse renovations in the West Village juxtaposes a clean, modern, light-filled interior with the historic fabric of the existing building envelope. Conceived as two parallel projects, they share similar details, finishes and materials while each has unique architectural features. One townhouse has a penthouse and roof terrace with a fireplace and stunning views of the Empire State Building to the north, while the other is situated on the interior of the block, with its own garden muse and limestone courtyard.
