Inspired by art and architecture across the world, Sarara Hasan designs interiors that serve and inspire their occupants.
Her knowledge of materials and specifications, as well as her project management and coordination skills, are reflected in her work on MBB projects such as Trinity Church Wall Street, Congregation Rodeph Sholom, Ascend Charter Schools, HF Guggenheim Foundation offices, New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission offices, and private residences in Manhattan and Sagaponack, New York.
Leveraging degrees in both architecture and interior design, Sarara applies her passion for space and materials to create high-performing interiors that reflect client priorities. She also works with suppliers to prioritize sustainable and ethical sourcing.
Sarara joined MBB in 2021 and received the firm’s 2022 Harold Buttrick Travel Grant. She previously lived and worked in Bangladesh, studied abroad at Yunnan University in China, and completed an internship in Malaysia. Her graduate thesis at the New York School of Interior Design developed the design of a behavioral awareness center for children with learning differences—exemplifying her desire to create meaningful, inclusive places.
