Building on her early experience in museum and exhibition design, Dongzoo Han brings a passion for equity, accessibility, and sustainability to all her projects. She applies inclusive design strategies to engage public audiences and enhance user experience.
Her project experience at MBB includes cultural and educational spaces such as the University of Virginia Center for Politics, Notre Dame Academy Staten Island, Bayard Cutting Arboretum Visitor Center, Gillen Brewer School, and Grace Church School. She also works on residential design projects including a ground-up home in Sagaponack, New York. Her strengths include production of high-quality architectural drawings and renderings, and mentorship of MBB’s junior staff and interns.
Dongzoo earned a Master of Design at Rhode Island School of Design, focusing on adaptive reuse. Her thesis project for affordable housing in Seoul advanced her understanding of architecture in relation to urban planning and social policy. She completed her undergraduate studies at Hongik University in Korea and an exchange program at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. In 2023 she was selected to participate in the Civic Leadership Program of the American Institute of Architect New York Chapter. She is the 2025 recipient of MBB’s Harold Buttrick Travel Grant, which she used to study the work of Lina Bo Bardi in Brazil.
