Grace Jeong

Grace joined MBB to continue her research and exploration in urban dynamics between the built environment and its dwellers. In particular, she is interested in studying and designing what meaningful cultural and civic spaces will look like in our transient future. Through work experience and with multidisciplinary education in urban studies, environmental design and classical music, she offers a unique perspective. Grace is a member of MBB’s in-house energy modeling team, and has contributed to the firm’s reporting for the 2030 Commitment.

Continuing her education from the University of California, Berkeley where she earned a Bachelor of Art in Architecture, Grace holds a Master of Architecture from The New School, Parsons where she was the recipient of the Eileen Gray Thesis Award. At Parsons, Grace studied environmental technology, including energy calculations, Passive House criteria, and the environmental impacts of materials. She was also a member of The Design Workshop, a student-run design-build project that focused on sustainable materials, daylighting, and passive systems to optimize ventilation and solar gain that culminated in the construction of an 800 square foot education center on Governors Island.
