Katherine Malishewsky

Director of Preservation

Katherine Malishewsky has been working for nearly a decade on the preservation and restoration of New York City’s historic architecture. With her understanding of historic building construction methodologies and how buildings perform over time, she is interested in pushing the relationship between existing buildings and new possibilities for design and restoration. At MBB, Katherine is working on a four-year restoration of Trinity Church Wall Street. As part of the Trinity team, Katherine serves as the in house architectural preservationist, working closely with the Project Manager during design and construction and is responsible for coordinating with the project’s conservation and restoration consultants.

Katherine holds a Master of Science in Historic Preservation from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Design from the University of Florida’s College of Design, Construction, and Planning. She has volunteered for several non-profit preservation groups in New York City, including on Landmark West’s Certificate of Appropriateness Committee.

Katherine joined Murphy Burnham & Buttrick in 2017.
