Michael Salinas

AIA

Michael Salinas is interested in architecture as a discipline at the intersect of context, beauty, function and craft. His balanced approach contemplates the complexity of issues surrounding sustainability, urbanism and equality in the built environment, looking for integrated solutions that remain visually exquisite.

At MBB, Michael guided PS 19Q Marino Jeantet School from design through construction administration. Additionally, he contributed during design phases for Trinity Church Wall Street, Meeting Street, and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Michael is one of MBB’s BIM specialists.

Beyond our office, Michael is interested in helping shape the next generation of architectural leaders. He serves as a mentor for the New York City College of Technology in a pilot program coordinated by the Architectural League of New York. He was also a part-time faculty at the University of New Mexico, teaching courses on subjects such as architectural graphics and design fundamentals.

Michael holds a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from the University of New Mexico.

Michael joined Murphy Burnham & Buttrick in 2015.
