Nyssa Sherazee


Nyssa Sherazee is interested in the interaction between people and the built environment, particularly the role of architecture in child development and education. She is currently working on the Park Avenue Synagogue renovations.

Nyssa was a Team Leader for the 2018 AIA National Conference on Architecture Day of Service and led a project with Edible Schoolyard NYC at PS 007 in Harlem. Nyssa received the 2018 Harry Buttrick Travel Award Grant and traveled to Korea to study their public architecture.

Passionate about sustainability, Nyssa is a member of the MBB Zero Waste Challenge team, helping to guide our office towards waste reduction and increased recycling. Due to Nyssa’s dedication, MBB was a winner of the AIA NY’s 2018 Zero Waste Challenge in the category of “Largest Total Waste Reduction.”

Nyssa holds a Master of Architecture from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation and a Bachelor of Science from The University of Texas at Austin.

Nyssa joined Murphy Burnham & Buttrick in 2015.
